Here is a photo of my boss holding her new album while wearing a ridiculous hat. Please note the photo on the back cover:

It's an alternate cover on Amazon.com:

And while I'm at it, here's the September cover of The Noise, a popular Boston music magazine:

I have sort of a weird question for you.

Have you come across any awesome hats?

I am looking for new ones, and I think you may have more hat exposure than I do.

Boys hats or girls hats? The one she's wearing is from (I think) a regular old army surplus store.

Also depends on where you're located... I find most of my awesome hats at thrift stores. There are better thrift store pickings in mid-sized cities than here in NYC, I've found. Pittsburgh was GREAT for both thrift stores and awesome hats.

Pittsburgh is pretty awesome in general. I live in DC, though I happen to be in Astoria right now.

I'm looking mostly for boyhats, because most girlhats don't suit me well.

Before you leave NYC, go to thrift store row! 23rd Street between 2nd and 3rd... make sure to hit the Housing Works Thrift Store (it's the best of the lot and I know they have boyhats) and then mosey down 3rd to the Jewish Heritage Vintage Store, which is between 22nd and 23rd. It's rad.

Army/Navy stores too... you'd be surprised at the manner of wonderful hats that live there.

I don't think I'm going to get the chance before I leave, sadly, but I'm writing it down and using it as my desktop background so I'll remember to go the next time I'm around. I come up kind of a lot because by bus, it's all of $25 each way, and my family lives on Long Island.

If I didn't have to leave early tomorrow (or if there was a shred of hope for them being open this late,) I'd be all over that like shmear on a bagel.

I'm a little confused. For the presales on Monday, will they be at WKAP.com?
