I am feeling overwhelmed. I have almost 1900 emails in my inbox-- and the oldest one is from TEN DAYS AGO.

I am starting to hate email. But not as much as I hate the phone.

Friends: SEVEN of you have emailed me in the past day to ask when we're getting together/lunching/having hot sex. I love you all. I am really, really lucky to have you in my life. I need to take the next three to five days to dig out of this hole or, if we hang out, you'll be hanging out with half a person because the other half will be worrying about what she's not gotten to yet. Wait a little longer and then I will give ALL ME to you.

In the meantime, a meme, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] brinshannara.

Does Glarkware count?

14. Where would you retire to?

16. Favourite sport to watch?
... sport?

17. When is your birthday?
May 30th.

What? I'd gone out with some school friends, and the place we went was a flat fee for all you could drink. I had a bit more than I was used to.

It's just surprising, considering what a teetotaler you were when I knew you.

A lot of people say that...

Then again, notice the other part. 2nd time in my life. I've learned how to drink a little, without going overboard. (And I've still never gotten blacked-out vomitting drunk.)

...which I think is great. I'm a fan of drinking.

The funny thing for me...

I like alcoholic drinks. I don't much care for the effect they have on me, but I like the drinks themselves.

Me too. Especially beer - a lot of people seem to hate beer, and yet still drink it to get drunk. I don't understand this; beer is so tasty, and it's sad that I can only have one or two at a time. Hard liquor, I still have a hard time with, even when it's mixed with lots of other stuff - a lot of mixed drinks are too sweet, and my body still remembers some bad nights of vodka...

I had four mixed drinks last night (way more than my usual one or two.) The first one was a bourbon and coke, not *that* sweet. After that, I drank whatever the bartender recommended, all of which used whiskey and various VERY sweet things. (My stomach is upset thinking about them, actually...)

I like good beer, with food usually. I would never drink beer just to get drunk on, though.
