Epic Art-Out Day #1 was a success. I love analog.

I will probably do this again, with more advance notice. Next weekend is Easter and the following is Coachella, so it would likely be May before I get around to it. I would probably stick with film... I love the way it looks. Processing is expensive ($7 a roll, $10 for the HOLGA that Katrina gave me) so may have to limit how often I do it, but there is something so rad about analog.

Love,
Beth

It was really, really fucking awesome watching you photograph people, place and things. To just be walking a long and see something and stop and whip out the camera. It was very rad to see the behind the scenes of these photographs. Today I received the camera from Shakti and her husband and as of I wasn't already looking forward to it (and I totallllllly was) now I'm even more excited to get out there and start photographing again.

I think you come up with some really amazing art projects because sure, they help you with your art but they also spread joy, creativity, inspiration, happiness etc. to others (ie: these ninja photoshoots, Someone Loves You, Other People's keys etc.) And isn't that the point of art? I think so.

Okay, enough is enough. After Passover we are getting together. Maybe it will even be warm enough for us to enjoy Central Park together, which we only talked about doing, oh, a hundred years ago.

I miss you, lady.

Art, and a generous sole make the world beautiful.

your photos always look real, and un-staged, they seem to catch the essence of life. the 'this is acutally happening'

Who's the hot chick in the last one? ;)

I'll second [livejournal.com profile] weezerchild703, it was really awesome to see How The Photography Happens.

And analogue (I can't help my British English ways, yo) DOES look so awesome. I don't know if you've seen, but I have the photo as my Facebook profile pic at the moment (credited of course) and I have had many many people say what a awesome PHOTO it is. So I thought I'd better pass on the praise. Film is love.

I can't wait to see the Holga photos.
